Very Bad Poetry

To Peter,
It's been a year since I saw you last
but it doesn't seem like it's been that long.
So much has happened.
I got a new job!
I moved across the country!
I got to see mountains in the east
and mountains in the west
and glaciers!
I've seen buffalo, deer, moose, whales!
I've had drinks thrown on me,
I've lived with a drug addict,
I've been invited "mudding"
(an invitation I politely refused).

I've fallen in love twice,
once to a bitter end.
When will a girl learn?

I celebrated the Solstice by climbing a mountain.

So much has happened to me, though it may not seem like a lot.

But when I get an email from you, after all this time, all you do is recommend a couple French movies and wish me well.

Quite unsatisfying.
