Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

the silver dove

Claudia Skipper

remember the quiet mornings
with the birds flying above
think of that place when you're sad
find your silver dove

in the tree she hides
far out of reach
she whispers words of balance
let her be free

in the night she goes away
you're left lost and all alone
when she comes back in the morning
you feel alright, at home

she keeps watch over you
flying high in the sky
when you're sad, scared, or frightened
find your eyes
