Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

steven hawkings

sheila gasquet

I'm sure he's brilliant, but who can tell?
He's all wobbly and speaks in a slow droning
monotone, It puts me to sleep ,when he talks about quantum theory ,in the robot voice. It would be nice to be able to stick with it when reading his book. But, I start fidgeting so I may never find out the most likely way we will become extinct , will it be the sun burning out ? Will the end be, when a large meteor smashes the earth, or will it be some hoity toity way ,like the universe expanding then collapsing? As Steven's friend Carl Sagan might have said,"It won't happen for billions and billions of years" anyway we will run out of food before those things happen. I can tell you now I will not be eating Soylent green! No matter how good it may taste.

sheila gasquet has published 2 more terrible poems since joining on 30/11/99. Read more of sheila's terrible poetry at the anthology. Here are three of sheila's latest works:
