Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

scared of my self

chas mauldin

my shadow i've been told is the dark side of me
when i face my shadow instinct tells to flee
but what i found is the truth will set me free
when i run i leave discovery about me behind
not facing what i might find i become blind
a wretch searching for his soul as darkness surrounds me
so do i flee or find courage truth and a light i never imagined
coming from thee
the shadow has no power unless i feed it FEAR
FEAR IS MY SHADOW IN GOD FAITH SHOWS AND FEAR RUNS
POVERTY of spirit is my shadow feeding my soul
the right truths rends my shadow back to my EGO
