Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

down on my luck

Emily Reeve

on days when I'm
down on my luck
I hit all red lights
on the way to work

I forget my lunch at home
and have to order something
from the cute guy
down the hall

I have a bad dream,
or haven't slept well,
am sore from the gym,
or from my heels

I'm mad at coworkers
or annoyed by patrons
or sad about my mom
or upset about bullshit

But I'm never picking up
cans on the side of the road
or begging for change
or sucking cocks for quarters

So I'm pretty lucky, I guess
and should shut my big mouth
next time I want to bitch
about some Dickwad who has

too much time on his hands.
