a short series of interconnected vignettes on biology

sometime intracellular components play
the love-match game, catchily titled
"intracellular component love-match".
the scaryfish had big teeth and was really
just a big mouth. it got
really sad sometimes
because its lipstick kept washing off in the sea
and it didn't have any hands to put the lipstick on with in the first place
and it didn't have any lips either
so it was sad a lot of the time.
osteoporosis is a long-term condition
in which bones become
progressively more brittle and porous. this is because
the Boney People get mad-crazy
and have little parties
in the middle of bones. the party-poppers
often get out of control
and this is where problems arise. hip
replacements are often required
as the Boney People may lose their coolness
as they get older and must be replaced
with new, hip Boney People
BUT
sometimes Evil Spiney comes
and eats the new, hip Boney People.
King Paramecium is King
of all the Paramecium.
he is green and blue.
he has no toes.
but none of the Paramecium have toes
which is nice
because King Paramecium doesn't feel left out.
if the other Paramecium had toes
they might point at King Paramecium and say
"haha, you have no toes".
and then he would be sad.
but none of them have toes, so he is happy.
and just in case the other Paramecium grow toes
he has some stashed in a drawer.
King Paramecium is clever, you see.
molecule X was a secret agent; the baddest secret agent there ever was.
