Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

You Stole The Coal From My Fire

Kevin Sullivan

Love always stinks,
I know it does, I’ve lived long enough to know.
Larry never thinks.
The despair steals my happiness,
As if it was a happiness-sucking vacuum set on overdrive.
Well, I want to pull the plug, Larry.
The plug will be pulled and I will be merry.
I will be merry and live on a ferry.
Why a ferry? To be far from you.
I will be farther from you than an elephant from a mouse.
Or maybe a house,
Since elephants don’t live in houses,
Or even blouses.
Why am I so sad?
Because I hate you,
Just a tad.
From you, I have fled.
“God NoooOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOooooo,”
I said in bed.
When I think about you, I never blink.
Why, Larry? Because you stink.
