Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Wrong

Amrita Gupta

Am I really fooling anyone?
Do I really look sad to you?
I bet you think I’m a freak
I don’t blame you
Should I blame you?
No
Whatever you thought about me
You were right
If you thought I was a freak
You were right
If you thought I was only good as a listener
You were right
I may give good advice
But I’m more than that
I have feelings, too
But whatever you thought
You had to be right
You had to be
Whatever feelings I have should be suppressed
If they don’t matter
They shouldn’t be brought up
They’re just useless
I have to repress them
Because if I were to say my feelings
I would just hurt myself
I can never be understood
I thought for a little while I could
Thought I could find someone
I loved being in love with
But I was wrong
There isn’t anyone
There’s no one that would love being in love with me
I can’t go on like this
I can’t be torn between right and wrong
Yes and no
Can I really be loved?
Or is it impossible?
Until I find the answer,
I’ll never be happy
