Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Wishes

Amri Jaesal

I wish I could tell you
How I feel about you.
But wishes don't come true,
And I am a realist.

The world doesn't bow
To the occasional good soul
That comes along the road.
No Get Out of Jail Free cards.

I wish I could express
How I really feel about
Each and every thing
Each and every day.

If you trust, it corrupts you,
And you forget about
All of the horrible things
In our generation.

You forget that the world
Wouldn't bow to you
Even if you truly were a good soul.
You can't win by force.

So, I guess I'm sorry that
I can't say how I feel
About you. But as I explain,
I hope you see reason.

And if you never know,
And you blindly assume,
I will never tell you the truth.
You won't deserve it.

I wish I could tell you
How I feel about you.
But I am a realist,
And wishes don't come true.
