Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Wires Run Through It

Paul W

Electric current
Pulsing beat
Feel the rhythm
See the heat
The coils shimmer
The light diffracts
The magnets spin
The wires react

Wires run through it
They run through me
Chains to society
They set us free
The coursing current
Binds the earth
Brining the future
For what it’s worth

Metal mountains
Tower above
And beneath on the monorail
The people shove
Scurrying madly
Rats in a cage
This mechanized world
Causes their rage

Atop my tower
Looking down
I rule this planet
Steel my crown
A lordly vision
Nature at my call
And with this power
I’ll never fall

The fluorescent bulbs
Computer too
All made real
Because of you
The generator
Burning bright
Brings the power
Brings the light

Wires run through it
They run through it all
They place the world
At our beck and call
Wires run through it
The run through me
And with these wires
Shall I be set free?
