Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Where I'm From

Fiona Ian

I am from dim sum and sweet confections,
Sold at local grocery stores and consumed at restaurants
I am from mahjong pieces and hula-hoops
Played with my cousins for delight
I am from kung-fu movies and midnight snacks
Both a luxury and leisure for Saturday nights
I am from bitter Chinese herb dinks and home-made popsicles
The remedial medication my mom prescribed
I am from orange flavored Vitamin C’s and make-believe house
Thought to be the magic ingredients for joy
I am from a fascination with earrings
To a phobia of sharp objects
I am from fear of floating on water
To fear of disappointment
I am from the worst jet-lagged sleep pattern
To sensitive ears from turbulence
I am from over-thinking worse case scenarios
To becoming an under-spoken girl
I am from the island that is off the coast of China,
A Country by its own rite
A land in need of restoration
From influences around
