Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Vampire's New Year

Ceejay Writer

You might think a Vampire's favorite day
Would be Halloween, perhaps.
But this sort of logic will lead you astray
Most will hide in their coffins, feigning naps.

You'll have to wait till the end of the year
To find the immortals dearest fest.
If you stop and think, it will become clear
What night is loved more than all the rest.

As the old year succumbs, finally breathing its last
The bells toll midnight loud and clear
All raise their drinks high in a sparkling glass
To herald the age of a brand new year.

And so from death will come rebirth
As well the vampires surely do know
In secret they drink from a source beyond worth
As the new year's life is beginning to flow.
