Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Too Cool For School

Viviana Torres

My brother has a dog
And he likes the game Pog.
I flew a canoe
Right into the zoo
And the workers never even knew.
Nothing rhymes with orange,
Except for door hinge.
I’m not the best writer,
And I know I could be brighter.
My heart is slowly breaking
And my soul is truly aching,
I’m in love
And dream of having a white dove,
But I don’t think this will come true
Until I belong to you.
I would write you a song,
If I knew it weren’t wrong.
I miss being a kid,
Though it means I can’t bid.
My heart is yours
As long as you clean your pores,
I’ll devote to you my life,
And let you make me your wife.
I hate the tears I cry.
Sometimes I want to dye
My hair
And run all the way over there.
This poem is really bad.
I hope it doesn’t make you sad.
I like cats
In hats,
And pigs
In wigs.
I’ll pour out my soul
After they remove my mole.
I hope you understand
That I want to join a band.
I can’t really sing,
But I can draw a wing.
Maybe that would come in handy
If my name were Andy.
I love to write and rhyme,
So I do it all the time.
