To my fellow poets I write, Im seeing L Cohen tonight!
talula balula
I’m not the begging sort
i’m not the whining type
without love i am not fraught
though i like how it makes me write
so this poem is not my style
but to compete poetically badly
i feel i’m destined to qualify
so redeem my pathetic inability
by accepting this shit that i write
p.s sorry for resorting to vulgarity
but it shows my limited vocabulary
so don’t hesitate to estimate me fairly
or the muse will punish you squarely
