Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

To Kelly

Apple Pie

Oh, Kelly,

You look like an angel
With your blue eyes and golden curls and freckles
And I love your shoulders
Freckled they always think it is summer at the beach
And the way you are thirty-four and had never done anything in bed
But this one thing you taught me
And I like it a lot, but, hey
Creativity, you should at the very least be good at that

Let me tell you kelly darling I have never seen pubic hair
Quite as red as yours. Who would have thought; your hair is baby blonde

Now you are gone to the other side of the Atlantic
You will spend the weekend working in a theater in Brooklyn
Nothing glamorous, sweeping floors, you said
You said once you played a show there and it was embarrassing
nobody came but your mom and dad
And you wanted to impress them.

Apple Pie has published another poem since joining on 30/11/99. Read more of Apple's terrible poetry at the anthology. Here are three of Apple's latest works:
