This Boy

Katherine Nobles

I like this boy
I want him to like me
He is handsome and sweet as can be
Like rainbow sugary candy
His eyes are green
Like that bread when I forget to make a sandwich
His brown hair can be seen
Like that mud puddle my car splashed through
On the way to school this morning
He bumped into me earlier today
It sent shivers down my spine
But he forgot to say
“I love you.”
