Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Thirst

Robert Hawkins

seeker, healer lover my catalyst.
it wasn't with wisdom that i loved you.
i was a soldier,
weaponless.
my prowess,
could't guard my heart.

you poured so much of you,
into me.
i didn't know how,
to give me back.
yet all i am unable,
to give,
possesses you.

you left taking your gift.
left helpless,
you left scars.
that hollow in me,
from your absence.
the pain of knowing,
there's to be only,
one of you,
in ones life.

but for the wish,
for you.
there's nothing in me.

we live. ...Yeats
