Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

These Things

e matte melrose

O Great Ape, free us from the chimp mind
You can see things we cannot
You can hear things we cannot
You can say things we cannot
Blessed is he who can do these things

O Great Ape, lead us from the bondage of the chimp mind
You are not like us, you are kind
You are not like us, you are fair
You are not like us, you are true
Blessed is he who can be these things

Let us praise you, O Great Ape, Lord of the one true mind
We beseech thee for your kindness
We beseech thee for your fairness
We beseech thee for your truthfulness
Blessed is he who can deliver these things

Behold, O Great Ape, forgive us our chimp mind, thy will be done
I will remember to be kind
I will remember to be fair
I will remember to be true
Blessed is I who believes these things
