The Love Of My Life, Allison

The love that we had
Is the reason why I am sad
We only went out for six days
That’s even shorter than when someone pays
For example, someone who patrols the street corner
The ones that are usually foreigners
Forever is what you told me
Was it creepy when I gave you that spare key?
I wanted us to get married and have seven children
But now it looks like the only kids I will have are in adoption
My lips were eager to meet yours in our first kiss
But due to the shortness of the relationship I never got this
I miss you
Do you miss me too?
I cannot believe this happened to me
It is like splitting a pod of peas
The depression hits me like a mean owner hits their parrot
Or like somebody torturing their ferret-
