The Death Of My Own Rose

Bonnie Merz

When I look upon my life,
Tears fill in my eyes,
You've brought me so much love and joy,
I've now grown to be wise.

Now that my world is changing,
I now realise,
That everything you've sent to me,
Was total utter lies.

I live each day so lonely,
But this love I chose,
So now I sit here pondering,
The death of my own rose.
