Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

The Beach

Mad Cat Lady

Grains of sand grit my feet
Lonely walk down a beach
Salt breeze uncomfortably encrusting my face
In a layer to thin to be seen
only felt
And the tang of rotting vegetation from the mangrove won’t quit
Pervasive
I can nearly taste it
And the sunset looks beautiful
But you know it won’t last
And you won’t remember the details of a scene so vast
The mosquitoes start to bite
and sweat stings when you scratch
Sometimes it just doesn’t seem worth leaving the house
