Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

The Bay

Skyler Latshaw

The moon and the stars are
High above us, like the sun during the day.
You and I are together dear,
And therefore that is how we shall stay.
Put on your dancing shoes
And we’ll walk by the bay.

Once I was full of sorrow
Oozing out my ears and down my back.
Then you came and smiled at me
And gave my lips a big smack.
Since I was conceived
My life hasn’t been luckier than that.

As a matter of fact
Sitting down I can think back
To a time where skies were not so black
Where the sun shown through the crack.

And I thought.
