Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Sweet Rapture

Violet Valencia

Face to face
Do I dare?
Standing so close
Toe to toe

About to do something I did not dare before
A decade has passed since I last stole a glance

Of you

And now
I gather the courage
Pull you in close
Kiss your lips and hid my hands under your clothes

You returned the gesture
Peeling me out of any self control

Driving and guiding you closer
In every strike of our hips
a spark is released
Sparks that fuel the fire deep inside

Enduring with delight
Your bites and the reward of your warm breath
on my skin
All while I write a love note on your back
so that part of me may go with
you

Suddenly
We are consumed entirely
By the aura of our fire
Extending, intertwining, and helplessly trying to find gravity
Time stands still

Once freed from rapture
All that is left
Is my longing to admire
You
