Summer Meadow-Place
Slim Walter DeTurtlevain
Ah! How I long for the beautitude of a summer meadow-place
That calls me ever forward and slightly to the left
That begs of me to forget the stressful stresses of life.
When summer, hottest of seasons in its temperature,
Arrives finally at the side door of my residence
(Rather like the vagabondical man last Thursday)
Not any sort of un-loveliness, be it
Coldness
Lycanthropy
Storms of lightning
Or even DEATH itself
Shall restrain my motion
Towards that summer meadow-place:
Unique in its perfectly unique perfection. And its beautitude.
Myself and that summer meadow-place
Shall be together ever and unendingly
And our children will be fairer still than the feskew.
