Very Bad Archive

Suburbia: a non-definition

Andy Fuller

Narrow streets without
rubbish without dirt.

Music that is familiar; known
and subdued.
Quiet.

We are ordered and
we manipulate
others.

Framed pictures of a family;
children well-behaved and
smiling.
Outside the parents argue
not looking at each other’s
eyes;
creating a distance;
learning to hide and to become
invisible.
