Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Shoreham

Good Poet

When I get home these shoes are going straight in the bin.

They’ve served me well over the years

like two rubber slaves with canvas skin.

But tonight, their tenure ends.

If I’d known it was going to rain,

I’d have stayed at home for an extra two hours

drinking Kronenberg and playing anything not too involving,

and then got the train from near my house.

Or I’d have canceled altogether.

Anything to avoid walking through Shoreham

in the pitch black and without having any dinner.

These socks are going in the bin as well.
