Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Rant

Joshua Richard

I don't want to be another fool
Like all the others fallen for you
In the years before I came
But I pour on as molasses
So thick in your throat you jump boat
To wash me from your mouth and to the sea

Shame for me again a shamed mistake
A bleeding h-heart right from the start
An idealistic view of everyone new
Forgotten again out of fear when I declare
You're a queen in jeans
A modern masterpiece in floral threads
A possibly complete heartache for me
To whisk away in a romantic decay
Of stale 'lost love' thoughts
old names replaced
with a new girl, Ms. What's-her-face

And out to sea you'll stay
And another to take my reserved space
Fair enough to come around
as I fall in love so frequently
you're another temporary true love:
my only redeeming romantic trait.
