Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Question-induced Coma

Michael Reed

An old man walked up to me in a grocery store
the produce section
no, the frozen foods
I think he was lonely
he asked me how many seconds were in a year
it's an old joke
I knew the answer
but I couldn't think
I wondered if I was on a gameshow
with the camera hidden behind the meat department window
but it wasn't a game show
and if it had been
I would have lost
the answer was twelve
January second, February second, March second...
I felt like an idiot
