Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Poets Just Like On T V

Robert Hawkins

A certian device of our time,
Allows us to sit on our collective behinds.
From its window to see and know all.
The worlds romance and refuse.
Offered up to we.
To ponder.

Making us more knowledgeable you see?
Like a zombie you watch transfixed by the view.
Of some new detergent you need use.
Peoples lives bandied about.
Parading sordid affairs and the epitome of idiocy.
That somwhow your suppose to surmise and sort out.

Other people even friends,
That are similarly transfixed.
Each know all lifes solutions.
And if in earshot will expound on it.
They will also be the ones to go.
With swift dispatch to buy that new detergent too.
If only they could find a solution for themselves.
Is to late soon enough?

That certian device its window of wonderous views.
Wouldn't trade one mark of my pen,
For all its worlds or wonders.
For the best ones,
We have yet to see.
They are still in we.
Though not a poet.
Neither are you.
