Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Peppermint Girl

Amrita Gupta

Chilly and sharp
Bitter yet sweet
That’s what I want
A Peppermint Girl

Glowing when tarnished
Glittery eyes
Hugs me so tightly
Always sincere

Her happiness steals me
Her sadness commands me
Forever I stand by
My Peppermint Girl

Her smile’s contagious
She pulls me beside her
I gladly will follow
My beautiful adventurer

As I’m writing my life
She rips out pages
And adds in her own
Both of us smiling

Everlastingly pure
Rosy and wintery
Always I’m loved
Like there’s nothing but us

Warm to the touch
Wonderful sweetness
Baroque and simple
Flamboyant and flowery

When she’s unhappy
I listen to her
She openly cries
Teaches me to do the same

My lovely, my darling
My wonderful world
Her kisses are icy and warm
All at once

So imperfect she’s perfect
Perfect for me, all mine
So, so in love with
My Peppermint Girl

Forever I’m loyal
Forever I’ll love her
Grateful to chance
That she feels the same way

Nothing without her
No color without her
That’s how I love her
My Peppermint Girl
