Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Path of the Pain

Michael Reed

I burned my toe with a hot noodle.
It fell in slow motion.
As it tumbled end-over-end from the stove top
to the shadowy floor beneath
I calculated how the pain would travel
from my foot, through the leg, to my spinal column, to my brain.
I was so transfixed by the path of the pain,
I neglected to move my foot.
