Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Ostrich Lullaby

Claudia Skipper

In the middle of the night
I woke up with the greatest fright
I was a bird without wings
and I was falling through the trees

like a boy without a home
I felt misplaced and all alone
I went and ran out to my porch
I found no one had remorse

I went right on back inside
fell to the floor as if I died
you took me by my hand
I woke up with my head out of the sand
