Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

One More Man Down

Flora Grande

I've entertained the idea of many kinds of men, and I categorize them by jobs and other prominent features: musicians (too many of them),
a mortician (just one), a man with a long beard who did not work (not even bringing in food stamps!), a lawyer, another lawyer, a snowplow driver (I know you want to make a joke about that, go ahead, it doesn't hurt me now), a man who lived with his ex-girlfriend and her cat, a manufacturing efficiency expert, a computer programmer, a sports designer, a man who I think had fetal alcohol syndrome (I married him, but no kids, don't worry! and now we are divorced), a mamma's boy, a painter, an antiques dealer (difficult childhood, I found out over a very long dinner, I just nodded a lot), a man with a dog named Thelma Lou, a Mason (too many rituals, with all those "brothers," kinda creepy), a man who had too many pets for my peace of mind - especially the birds.
I have a lot of men on this list, and I am going to add this one more: another musician, damn. One more man down and millions to go I guess. Just no more musicians, okay?

Flora Grande has published 2 more terrible poems since joining on 30/11/99. Read more of Flora's terrible poetry at the anthology. Here are three of Flora's latest works:
