Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Ode to a Paisley

Slim Walter DeTurtlevain

What graceful shape
Belongs to thee-
A raindrop?
A teardrop?
A drop of wine?
Your soft tapered curve,
What could you be -
A tadpole?
A leech?
A cousin of mine?

Upon any fabric
You're fine to behold
Be it rayon
Or cotton
Or silk, soft and worn.
And even on clothing
All covered with mold
Or bloody
Or pungent
Or shredded and torn,

You still are the pattern that's greatest to wear
If I didn't have paisley, I'd often go bare.
