Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

My old

julia flores

My old favorite word was "puddle"
I have to give up on it now
My new favorite word is "mope"
which correctly describes a cow.

And no one will name perfume "mop strings"
or call football teams "The Swans"
But times do change
and dogs get mange
So I could be broodingly wrong.

If you think your habitat's gloomy
and tends to be painted as such
It's terribly harsh
to be in a marsh
that's mopey, and boggy, and flumy.

But consider the moonshine in jugs
stored way down deep in the swamp
waiting for us'n
to kick up a fuss'n
while swattin' the blood-suckin' bugs.
