Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

My Spare Time

Eva Gray

I think there was once a potential circumstance
under which I would become a writer.
but that prospect has passed;

the patterns of my wordy, pathetic diatribes
are the movements of a jammed drawer

I am overly fond of alliteration
flailing and forcefully fond

sometimes I repeat

my stanzas are heinously inconstant
maybe if I put a little more thought into it
no that would be superfluous
that would be kitschy
I don't care
I care so much I act like I don't care so people will think I'm nonchalant

until discussing the vulgar and tumorous
my work doesn't become slightly humorous.

and rhyming poetry?

well,
thats just stupid

sometimes I repeat
sometimes I pete
sometimes I misspell things
and just sort of leave them like that

because I am ignorant of there spelling

this was a contrived exercise
