Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

My First Love

Hannah Chavez

I first saw your magically beautiful face in the cafeteria
You were eating pizza
When the cheese fell and burned your chin I knew you were the one for me
I can’t stop thinking about you
You are all that and a barrel of monkeys
I long for you like Justin Bieber longs to reach puberty
Your face graces my dreams
And yours eyes sparkle with the light of a thousand suns
I disguise my love for you like Clark Kent disguises his true identity
When all I truly want to do is rip off my glasses and reveal my true feelings
I am the one who loves you so
This is the truth, I know
