Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Mother and Father Know Best

Grace F.

Great big smiles
Make us proud
Don’t be a fool in front of the crowd
Put on a great show
We’ll guide you with the strings
Don’t worry you don’t have to think of anything
You’re our little puppet that does what it’s told
Can’t do anything for yourself that’s why we’re in control
We’ll make your decisions and dress you up nice
Your plastic personality and counterfeit smiles should suffice
We’ll never let you go we’ll keep you by our side
You’re our little princess our source of joy and pride
Thank goodness for the strings that we attached to you
Or else you wouldn’t be perfect in everything that you do
