Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Midsummer's Night Dream

Paula Dolubizno

I look at you and you look at me
And I know the first thing on my mind
Is the last on yours

You talk about life and I cant help
But be mesmerized by those emerald eyes
Then you look up at the sky

Break my trance
I can’t help but think if you know
We lay there under the stars
In the summers’ chill breeze

It’s hard to know what to say when
I know you've probably heard everything
And in that moment you turn to me and ask
You're glad we're friends right?

And I want just say yes but I know
That without you there laying there, next to me
I’d lose myself in this crazy world

I don't know what to say so I just smile
Then the look in your eyes says it all
Midnight summers dream
That’s what you were to me
