People write about hating writing
lots of them do
do that
People go on so long writing
they ask the reader
why they do
do that
(keep reading)
And in the whole storm of it
the mighty whale at last
is alone and
(cliché by now)
the whale is pale
sans Ahab,
which is to say
if a tree falls in the forest
and nobody hears
doesn’t matter
because then,
the tree does not
exist.
