Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Jake Hutchings

Irrepressible impulse,
Unhindered,
But unnecessary;
An urge is raging.
Sphere of the mind is chiseled
Into a sharp cone with anything,
Everything of any value dragged behind
The obstinate tip.

Vocabulary reserved only for one condition
Surfaces and splutters into the bar.
Inhuman dialect. Foul and for few,
Except for half.
Redundant selecting after short lived
Browsing. Only one purpose:
Any will serve it.

You’ll do.
You’ll more than do.
Good choice mate, good choice.
She is no stranger.
She is the perfect stranger!
This is great.
This is important!
Done.

Crude emotion exits,
Emptiness fills the vacancy.
Self reconciliation is a painful,
Though nonetheless rapid process.
Dawn breaks as blunt, benignity returns –
Who is this poor stranger with no hope?
She saddens me.
She disgusts me.
