Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Luck

Slim Walter DeTurtlevain

Luck:

"An excuse," say the realistic
"For feeble minds' failure to grasp improbability"
"For hard work, or a lack thereof."

"A treasure," say the daring
"A once-in-a-while gem that could make you
or break you (very painfully)"
"A priceless ally for each and every man" (Or woman!) (Or small (or large) child) (Or nonhuman animal(?))

Oh, Luck
With your... lucky... fingers
Hiding inside a 6-sided die
As it sails through the air,
or
Disguised within 52 cards
Performing a really really really really absurdly complex dance,
or
Prodding a person forwards (or backwards) (or up/down/left/right) (Or any combination of these)
To a "chance" meeting with their future
Friend
Lover
Mailman
Bagpipe instructor...

Is it something I've done?
Something I've said?
Please, oh Luck
Tell me:
Why
Why
Why
Not
Choose
Me?

Luck:

"An excuse," say the realistic
"A treasure," say the daring
"A misspelling," say the profane.
