Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Life is a Canyon

Grant Johnson

There's a knife in my leg
but that knife is life.
Life is rife with strife,
something Barney Fife.

Can't you hear it jingle
as it cuts into my marrow
and feeds off my despair-o?
Something Clarence Darrow.

Can you hear it jangle and squish
as it reads me the morning paper
tells me of the latest caper?
Something Don Draper.

Life isn't so much a knife
as it is your stalwart companion
from whence you were a man, young,
traveling in the canyon.

No wait, life is a canyon.
