Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Life and Times of a Jar of Peanut Butter

Mad Cat Lady

I am the great sustainer
Of the poor and lonely student
And other people who
With money are not prudent

I sit in the back of the fridge or cupboard
Until needed by the desperate
Who sparely smooth me onto
Leftover thin cracker biscuits

Small children stick a knife in me
Then lick it and put it back
I am sometimes used immorally
Or lasciviously consumed by the fat

And although it is a varied life
And it is lovely to be needed
When not in use, I’m shoved to the back
Neglected and slowly turning rancid
