Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Just Look, Bobby.

Robert Hawkins

I look to the northwest sky.
In Texas you learn to look that way.
I sit on the front porch.
Dogs lazing in the breeze way.
Soaking those last minute rays.
Sissy, our cat scratching,
streching on the porch rail.
Essay's for attention from Honey De.
I bring Honey De a beer.
She smiles.
She points to gap between two Pecan trees.
I look up not knowing what Honey De means.
Then I see it,,
God dang Honey De!
Alto Stratus, Cirrus clouds
in just that gap.
Jetstream wisping the tops away.
Klideascope, Honey De.
I thank you Honey De.
And envy, you see things in just the right way.
If I had that Honey De.
You would have gone for the beer.
But you have to tell me how you do it?
See things in just the right way.
I see rain.
You see the clouds.
I see hail.
You see it a particular ice formation.
One only you would see.
So pleasing to you.
A Dust Storm.
To Honey De promises for a beautiful Sunset.
To me, I see another broom.
Honey De how you do it?
Don't she just catch that essesence in all of us?

note; play can easily vanish when people have to
strain for compentence.
