Just Like My Heart

I.
My phone is broken.
It cannot be activated
Just like my heart.
My heart is on vibrate
But nobody bothers to call.
I still have all my minutes.
Why bother charging it?
I have never received a text
Or even a photo one.
II.
My Facebook wall is empty.
Nobody has left a post.
Just like my heart.
I put up my interests
Texting, skateboarding, loitering.
But nobody cared.
I updated my status:
“Skyler Latshaw is bored. Lol”
But nobody has commented or even liked it.
I am a fan of high fives, belly dancing, skate parks, romance, 7/11, the Saw movies
But it doesn’t matter
Because nobody’s a fan of me.
III.
My Twitter account is barren.
It has no followers.
Just like my heart.
I tweet every hour on the hour.
I am hungry. I am making a sandwich. I am eating a sandwich. I am full.
Why does nobody care?
I @friends all the time,
Throwing my heart out into the abyss
But all I get in return is spam.
