Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

John Wesley Hardin by Laura Bullion

Robert Hawkins

Take back your ring you gave me John Wesley Hardin.
Please take it back I pray.
Wearing it might deprave me.
Much more than I am this day.
To make me your wife wrong it would be.
Each of our hearts, grief, sin and sorrow.
Please take it back John Wesley Hardin I beg.
Take back your engagement ring.
But do allow me your pistols.
I have a train to rob this day.

note; First woman to rob a train. Laura Bullion was allergic to rope. Had her neck stretched in Texas.
