It's Not Perfect
Claudia Skipper
Floating in the air.
I miss them.
I miss them in that way.
The way in which I still have the hope that we may be together someday.
The streets are not filled with houses.
No.
My street has lanterns.
I light them at night. Takes about an hour.
The night isn't dark here.
I can feel them, see them.
I'm no more than a gust of wind.
Sometimes.
They feel me.
Going crazy.
But they ignore and turn away.
I long to talk to them.
I can't.
I'm gone. Floating.
It's okay.
