Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

Inane Coincidence

J Todd Underhill

030410 Inane Coincidence

Before work I posted me doing a read,
Of someone that everyone should know.
The father or Gothic American literature indeed,
The late, great Edgar Allan Poe.

Then as I started the car to leave,
I turned on the old time radio show.
A story of which I could not believe,
About the late, great Edgar Allan Poe.

I thought it funny in my own twisted way,
That is just how my life would go.
Just like it was contained in its own play,
Written by the late, great Edgar Allen Poe.

His writings have many blessings to bestow,
The late, great Edgar Allen Poe.
