Very Bad Poetry

Welcome to the last refuge for the world's worst poetry.

It's difficult to understand how, in this age of information, poems that merely miss the mark can be tossed into the cold world to fend for themselves, only to whither and be forgotten.

Please help us to help them to help us.

If My Life Was A TV Show

Nancy Anabel

If my life was a TV show
people would clap and laugh
when I walk into a room
If my life was a TV show
my best friend would die and come back to life in each episode
I would never age
If my life were a TV show
I would have the good kind of cereal
but would never eat it
I would meet my friends everyday at a coffee shop
and eat full fat muffins
but never gain a pound
If my life was a TV show
my biggest worries would be prom, the zit on my nose
and the cute boy in school asking me out
If my life was a TV show
every sentence that came out of my mouth would be funny and witty
(well some days)
If my life was a tv show
I would start each day with a problem
and end it in a bar where everyone knows my name
If my life was a TV show
I would fake orgasms everyday
and my husband would be a fat loser
and I would be waaay out of his league
but I'm not superficial (or I have low self esteem)
If my life was a TV show
it would surely be cancelled by now

Nancy Anabel has published another poem since joining on 30/11/99. Read more of Nancy's terrible poetry at the anthology. Here are three of Nancy's latest works:
